Horizon2020 project i-DREAMS has been kicked off

May 22nd 2019 marks the official start of the i-DREAMS Horizon2020 project. The 13 consortium partners, international research centers as well as companies from 8 European countries, met up to kick off i-DREAMS in Hasselt, Belgium. The consortium consists of the following partners: Hasselt University (Belgium), National Technical University of Athens (Greece), Loughborough University (UK), European Transport Safety Council (Belgium), Oseven Single Member Private Company (Greece), Technische Universität München (Germany), Barraqueiro Transportes (Portugal), Kuratorium für Verkehrssicherheit (Austria), DriveSimSolutions (Belgium), CardioID Technologies (Portugal), Polis (Belgium), Univerza v Mariboru (Slovenia), Technische Universiteit Delft (The Netherlands). Over the next 3 years, this consortium will study how technology can further improve traffic safety.

Fase 1 of will consist of monitoring driving behaviour and the driver by using a driving simulator. The second stage of the research will focus on intervening in real-time and post-trip. On Thursday May 23rd the partners will continue to discuss the research approach, work packages and project objectives to plot the lines for the months ahead.
